Jock Bartley, lead guitarist/songwriter and band leader of FIREFALL, has finished his first-ever solo CD, entitled "BLINDSIDE." Recorded between January and August 2006, the CD features guest appearances by such luminaries as RICHIE FURAY, a Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee with The Buffalo Springfield, RUSTY YOUNG from Poco, JOHN McEUEN and JIMMY FADDEN of The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band, JOHN MAGNIE from The Subdudes, BRIAN NEVIN from Big Head Todd And The Monsters, MICHAEL TRAVIS from The String Cheese Incident, BOB HARRIS from Warren Zevon and Frank Zappa's bands, Colorado favorites HAZEL MILLER, CHRIS DANIELS, REBECCA FOLSOM, and many other musicians and singers. All songs on 'BLINDSIDE' were written by Jock Bartley, who was the Producer of the album also. The CD includes the positive message song 'CALL ON ME,' which is the 1998 song he wrote for Suicide Prevention, which became an 'anthem' of sorts for the cause and the national crisis hotline, 1(800) SUICIDE. Proceeds from the sale and performance of 'CALL ON ME' will be donated back to Suicide Prevention, helping to reverse the terrible national statistics, targeting young people between the ages of 15 and 25.
